Costco Third-Party Inspections

Grocery

3rd-Party Inspections

The Project

QPM was engaged to perform 3rd-party inspections during the installation of new underground fuel systems at 75 locations in 20 states.  The scope of work required establishing an inspection schedule with the client and contractor, performing inspections and preparing reports for the client.

The QPM Solution

In addition to the technical expertise required to perform these inspections, the key challenge facing Costco was scheduling.  Inspections were typically required with only 48 hours’ notice, and any delay in inspections delayed the client’s entire project schedule.  QPM was selected because of our extensive experience with fuel systems and our flexibility and national coverage, allowing us to address inspection requirements with experienced staff, on short notice and anywhere in the country.

The Results

QPM was able to complete all inspections on time – regardless of where the sites were located – saving Costco valuable time and resources that would have been required to bring this expertise in-house or handle the inspections with less experienced local contractors.
