The Home Depot Highway Improvements

Government

Road & Highway Improvements

The Project

To support traffic to new retail stores, The Home Depot needed to work with the cities of Los Banos and Yucca Valley, California on right-of-way work and off ramp and intersection improvement. QPM was hired to oversee construction through closeout and release of bonds for both these projects.

The QPM Solution

QPM managed the road construction process in both cities, including working with and coordinating multiple agencies to keep the project moving. In Los Banos, the project included:

  • Adding lanes
  • Median work
  • Hardscaping and repaving in Los Banos

In Yucca Valley, the project included:

  • Adding lanes
  • Median work
  • Landscaping
  • Intersection signaling

The Results

Not only was construction completed on time, allowing both of these new stores to open on time as well, but the project also experienced no outages or downtime as utilities were being transferred.
